Mission

To protect Jewish life and way of life in New Zealand

The threat of antisemitism is real in New Zealand. Our close working relationship with the New Zealand Police and other agencies ensures that any incidents are dealt with promptly.

History

The Community Security Group was founded in 1990. Unfortunately, an incident was the impetus for forming the group: a mentally ill woman stabbed four primary-aged children at a Jewish school in central Auckland while shouting antisemitic epithets. Such an extreme incident highlighted the vulnerability of our small community.

Services

Our dedicated group of volunteers work hard to ensure the safety and security of our friends, family, and fellow congregants. We train regularly to ensure that the service we provide is the very best. If you’d like to join us, please get in touch here and tell us about yourself.

We liaise regularly with New Zealand law enforcement to ensure incidents are appropriately investigated and that we are doing all we can to prevent an attack.

If, at any time, you become aware of an incident, please report it to us here. If the incident is a risk to life or property then call 111 first .
